Join us in celebrating May as Mental Health Month by offering your group or organization a FREE seminar on Child Mental Health. Future Generations Diagnostic, Treatment, and Evaluation Center invites you to invite us to provide your group a free, community-based seminar about contemporary topics in mental and behavioral health for children and adolescents.
The free, 30- to 90-minute seminar can be customized to suit your organization's needs. It will provide a synopsis of mental and behavioral healthcare issues facing child and teens, and time can be set aside for questions and answers of a general nature. Terms and restrictions will apply; presentations are provided as scheduling permits. This offer is valid only for bookings made during the month of May. For an informational flyer, click here.
Child Mental Health Awareness Day was launched in 2006 by the government’s Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's (SAMHSA) Center for Mental Health Services as part of May as Mental Health Month to highlight the mental health needs of children and teens. Future Generations Diagnostic, Treatment & Evaluation Center has partnered with the Humane Society of San Bernardino Valley to offer FREE on-going Pet Loss Bereavement classes and a Community Support Group. The Class and Support Group are held monthly on the 2nd Saturday of each month. The Class and Support Group are geared toward ages 16+. They provide an overview on grief and bereavement pertaining to the loss or impending loss of an animal companion. Content focuses on understanding the psychology behind grief and the animal-human bond, and aims to debunk stigmas associated with mourning the loss of an animal. You must attend the Class before attending a Support Group meeting. Class & Support Group size are limited. Register early.
To register call the Humane Society at 909-386-1400, ext. 224.
